A summary of core requirements for the Community Lease Arrangement  set out the minimum we would expect of any potential community partner.
Centre usage 2024 - 2025 

 

Inclusive and varied play takes place through weekly term time visits, holiday sessions and special events. Every attendance provides learning opportunities for children and adults. All visits can be physically active for both children and parents.  

 

  • Over 40,000 hours of physically active play were enjoyed by children attending the site at our public play sessions. 

 

  • Term time public activity sessions: Sycamore Adventure Activity Centre has delivered 192 active play sessions for general public access during school term time. 459 physical activity hours have been available per visitor for the year. 

 

  • School visits: There were 6306 visits by children through school bookings. This came from 172 school trips. 83 of these visits were special schools. There was a total of 460.5 hours of school bookings delivered. 

 

  • Parties: 2450 children visited the activity centre through a party. There were 57 parties offering 6125 hours of active play. 

 

  • School holidays: There were 44 days of holiday activities. Giving 193 hours of time an individual could be active on the site. 

 

Numbers – total visits by children (please note this includes repeat visitors) 

 

  • Public play term time and holidays: 11365. 

 

  • Parties: 2450. 

 

  • School visits: 6306. 

 

  • 20491 visits by children have taken place at the adventure playground. Over 12,000 visits will have also occurred by adults. 

 

 

The Sycamore Adventure Centre offer in 24/25 was: 

 

The term time offer between April 24 and February 25 was: 

 

  • Tuesdays 4.30pm-6.30pm Inclusive Play for children with disabilities and their family members. 

 

  • Wednesdays 1pm-2.30pm Toddler Stay and Play. 

 

  • Wednesdays 2.30pm-6pm Family Play. 

 

  • Thursdays 3.30pm-5.30pm Family Play with Go Karts. 

 

  • Saturdays 11am-2pm Family Play. 

 

 

School holiday play sessions

 

  • Tuesdays 10am-3pm Inclusive Play for children with disabilities and their families. 

  • Wednesdays 11am-3pm Family Play. 

  • Thursdays 10am-3pm Inclusive Play for children with disabilities and their families. 

  • Fridays 11am-3pm Family Play. 

  • Saturdays (except bank holiday weekends) 11am-2pm. 

 

Centre running costs are available on request. 

How to express interest: 

Community organisations should complete a brief document  (called Request for Proposal RFP form) to express their interest in managing the Sycamore Adventure Centre.
